Patriots missing 2 players at Wednesday practice before Bears game
FOXBORO — Patriots safety Kyle Dugger and running back JaMycal Hasty were the only players missing at practice Wednesday.
Dugger did not play in last weekend’s loss at Tennessee due to a lingering ankle injury. In his place, the Pats started Jaylinn Hawkins and Marte Mapu, while undrafted rookie Dell Pettus came off the bench. In six games this season, Dugger has 35 tackles, two pass deflections, a sack and forced fumble.
Hasty, the Patriots’ No. 3 running back, has seen a jump in playing time the last four weeks. During that stretch, Hasty has rushed six times for 10 yards and caught seven passes for 55 yards and a score.
The Pats practiced in full pads Wednesday, their first time on the field as they prepare for Sunday’s game at Chicago. Before practice, coach Jerod Mayo stressed bringing a sense of urgency.
The team will release its first injury report Wednesday evening.
