Carter Cravens throws 3 TD passes, Morehead State defeats St. Thomas 21-7

MOREHEAD, Ky. — Carter Cravens threw three three touchdown passes and Morehead State knocked off St. Thomas 21-7 on Saturday, handing the Tommies their first conference loss this season and snapping a four-game win streak.

Cravens’ 20-yard TD throw to Trevion Green gave the Eagles (6-3, 4-1 Pioneer Football League) a 14-7 halftime lead. Cravens’ 12-yard toss to Nate Garnett Jr. made it a 14-point lead late in the third quarter.

Morehead State scored first on Craven’s 22-yarder to Ryan Upp before the Tommies tied it on a 68-yard connection from Tak Tateoka to Colin Chase in the first quarter.

Jihad McCall and Jackson Benjamin made late interceptions. The Tommies had three turnovers.

Cravens threw for 196 yards with one interception.

Hope Adebayo rushed for 142 yards on 24 carries for the Tommies.
