Pedestrian killed in Blaine crash
A woman was struck and killed by an SUV on Thursday in Blaine, according to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.
Police and EMS responded at 6:33 p.m. to the report of the pedestrian struck on University Avenue Northeast. The woman had been crossing the street westbound on 85th Street. The SUV, driven by an adult male, was traveling southbound.
The release said that life saving measures were attempted but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
