Israel April 2024: MG breaks share record in market down -8.6%

MG holds a record 5.4% share in Israel in April.

According to data by our local partner cartube.co.il, the Israeli new car market falls -8.6% year-on-year in April to 17,771 sales, leading to a year-to-date volume off -14.8% to 106,812. Toyota (+24.5%) takes the brands lead for the 5th time in the past eight months, going completely against the market with a robust year-on-year gain. The Japanese carmaker holds 14.7% share this month vs. 10% so far this year. Kia (-32.1%) is up two spots on March to #2 but is hit hard year-on-year, as is Hyundai (-46.6%) at #3. Hyundai remains #1 year-to-date however. Below Skoda (+22.6%) in solid shape, MG (+444.6%) delivers the performance of the month, equalling its ranking record at #5 and beating its all-time high share at 5.4%. Renault (+234.9%), Seat (+71.2%) and Mazda (+12.4%) also impress below.
