Pop icon Britney Spears announced she may be shipping up to Boston.

“I’m moving to Boston !!! Peace,” Spears wrote at the bottom of a note screenshot shared on her Instagram on Thursday.

The note could hardly be described as focused, nor could her declaration for a move to Boston be seen as plainly truthful.

The 42-year-old “…Baby One More Time” and “Toxic” singer recently made headlines again after she settled out of court on April 26 with her father, Jamie Spears, over the remaining concerns over the conservatorship that controlled her life and financial decisions for more than a decade.

“Although the conservatorship was terminated in November, 2021, her wish for freedom is now truly complete,” her attorney Mathew Rosengart said in a statement shared by the AP. “As she desired, her freedom now includes that she will no longer need to attend or be involved with court or entangled with legal proceedings in this matter. It has been our honor and privilege to represent, protect, and defend Britney Spears.”

That saga gained the attention of internet masses who cheered her on under the hashtag #FreeBritney.

Roughly a week later, on Thursday, Spears divorced her third husband, the 30-year-old model and actor Sam Asghari.

“Just to let people know … the news is fake !!!” Spears began the note that ended with the idea of a Boston move, without specifying what news she was talking about, though it presumably had to do with the many speculations regarding the conservatorship. “I would like respect at this time for people to understand I am getting stronger everyday !!! Truth sucks so can someone teach me how to lie ??? Goddesses out there, I’m reaching my higher power and furthermore, I hope you guys are too !!!”
