Ecuador Full Year 2023: Chevrolet D-Max #1 again, Shineray G01 #4
The Shineray/SWM G01 is up to 4th place in Ecuador.
The Ecuadorian new vehicle market slips down -2.1% year-on-year to 132,402 sales. Chevrolet (-6.9%) suffers but claims the brands title for the 29th year in a row. It distances Kia (+19.4%) in outstanding shape and Toyota (-7.1%) losing share. Hyundai (+9.6%) also defies the negative market, climbing up two spots to #4. Suzuki (+93.2%) and Shineray (+5.3%) are the only additional Top 10 marques in positive, just as Renault (-34%), JAC (-28.9%) and Great Wall (-28.8%) all freefall. Below, notice JMC (+79.7%), Ford (+40.7%), Nissan (+32.1%) and Mazda (+15.5%) all soaring.
Over in the models ranking, the Chevrolet D-Max remains in the lead with 6.4% share, ahead of the Kia Soluto at 5.4% and Sonet at 2.7%, the latter being the country’s best-selling SUV for the year. The Shineray G01 (aka SWM G01) ends the year at a brilliant 4th place above the Jetour X70 at #5. Chevrolet also places the Joy Black at #7 and the Groove at #9.
