BOYS BASKETBALL

Teshaun Steele scored 23 points as Worcester North (4-0) cruised to a 78-51 win over Hillhouse (Conn.) at the 27th annual BABC Slades Holiday Classic. Joseph Okla (16 points, 14 rebounds) and Amir Jenkins (10 points, 12 assists) recorded double-doubles for Worcester North.

In other action at the BABC Slades Holiday Classic, Zavion Monroe tallied 22 points and Rakesh Reid had 10 points and 10 rebounds as Springfield Central (6-0) put together a strong second half to defeat Archbishop Williams, 77-56. Tristan Rodriquez tallied a game-high 35 for the Bishops.

Jakeel Martin had 25 points as Windsor (5-0) defeated Brockton, 85-75, while teammate Anthony Williams scored 20 and grabbed 11 rebounds. Chidi Nwosu led the way for Brockton with 24 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks.

Mangok Lok scored 13 points as Eagle Academy (6-3) edged Burke, 57-54. Jaeden Roberts led all scorers with 27 for Burke. In the nightcap, Dan Civello hit five three-pointers en route to 19 points as BC High (2-1) rolled to a 77-51 win over Brookline.

In the Lowell Catholic Holiday Hoops Classic, Matt Breen poured in a team-high 23 points to propel Shawsheen to a 61-44 win over Pentucket.

At the Bob Bigelow Tournament, Jameson Vella led the way with 13 points, while Ryan Corcoran added an 11-point spot to guide Masconomet during a 60-26 romp of Medford.

Xavier Rivera had 22 points, eight rebounds and five blocks as Lowell won 82-57 over Merrimack, N.H. in the Greater Lowell Holiday Tournament.

Owen Kelly (14 points), Theo Moore (13 points) and Jared Coughlin (10 points) handled the bulk of the scoring for Braintree during a 55-48 win over Concord-Carlisle at the John Adams Tournament.

Michael Dankert (18 points), Leo Andrade (16 points) and Emery Robbins (12 points) set the tone as Bourne (4-0) bested Hopedale 71-42 in the Coach Hutch Tournament.

Ronan Coffey scattered 17 points, and Connor O’Hare chipped in with nine points as Norwell (3-0) defeated Abington 57-50 in the Norwell Holiday Tournament.

In the South Coast Conference, senior Landon Cayton erupted for 28 points and added five rebounds for Case (4-2) during a 69-50 win over Westport.

Mason Melchionda racked up 23 points, while Jono Windle added 20 points himself as Dover-Sherborn (4-1) registered a 79-68 win over Medfield in a nonleague matchup.

Joendy Rosario dropped 28 points, and Obbie Luciano tacked on 17 points as Lawrence downed Newburyport 66-58 in the Commonwealth Motors Christmas Classic. … Zach DesRochers (16 points), Zach Wolinski (15 points) and Camden Bethel (13 points) played well offensively for North Andover (2-1) in a 61-48 win over Methuen.

Gaby Campbell paced her team in scoring with a 19-point effort, as Hamilton-Wenham advanced in the David Green Tournament with a 53-45 victory over Stoneham. … Jordan Purdue Del Torchio put up 21 points (18 in the second half and overtime) for Gloucester, and the Lady Fishermen defense held Winthrop scoreless for the last three minutes of overtime to close out a 45-42 win.

In the Londonderry Holiday Tournament, Charlotte Adams-Lopez collected 17 points with seven assists while Julia Webster added 16 points and six assists as Bishop Feehan edged Pinkerton Academy 67-64.

In nonleague play, senior Sunali Carter compiled 16 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists and four steals as Brockton defeated Cardinal Spellman 58-16.

Samantha Pfeil (24 points) and Jasalyn Mora (18 points) combined for 42 points as Methuen notched a 50-44 win over Natick in the Commonwealth Motors Christmas Classic. … Ava DiBurro’s 13 points and 10 rebounds fueled Pentucket in a 36-32 victory against North Andover. … Kerri Finneran scored 13 points, and Abbey Dick and Aniela Kwo had 10 points each as Central Catholic (3-1) cruised to a 73-22 win over Haverhill. … Cate Margolis netted 15 points (five three-pointers) as Andover (4-0) topped Westford Academy 50-35.
