Minnesota United loans out left back Ethan Bristow
Minnesota United said Thursday it has loaned left back Ethan Bristow out to Stockport County of England’s League Two for the 2024 season.
Bristow was brought to Minnesota last July but struggled defensively in MLS, and the 22-year-old Englishman played a total of 541 minutes across nine games in 2023.
Bristow was benched at halftime of the 5-1 loss to Los Angeles FC on Oct. 4, and manager Adrian Heath was fired after that game. Bristow sat the final two games under interim head coach Sean McAuley.
The Loons will retain the right to recall Bristow during the year-long loan; he is under contract in MLS through the 2025 season.
The roster move also frees up an international roster spot.
