Patriots have no answers after J.C. Jackson’s lack of playing time in loss

Grier first joined the Patriots in September when he was signed off of the Bengals’ practice squad onto the 53-man roster. He was cut late last month and rejoined the Patriots’ practice squad after clearing waivers. Grier ends his career in New England without playing a snap.

This is the second time in consecutive weeks that a quarterback has been signed off of the Patriots’ practice squad. The Ravens signed rookie Malik Cunningham to their 53-man roster last week.

The Patriots still have Bailey Zappe and Mac Jones on their 53-man roster. They could look to sign another quarterback for another practice arm over the final three weeks of the season. The Patriots recently worked out free-agent QBs E.J. Perry and Austin Burton.
