Gophers add Bucknell cornerback Ethan Robinson in transfer portal

The Gophers continued to plug needs in the NCAA transfer portal on Sunday. Minnesota received a commitment from FCS-level Bucknell cornerback Ethan Robinson, a 6-foot, 175-pound to-be senior.

The U is losing starting cornerback Tre’Von Jones after the season and will bring in another experienced player to help fill in the corner spot opposite Justin Walley.

“Thank you to all the coaches that took their time to evaluate me and give me an opportunity,” Robinson said on X. “I will no longer be going on any visits. I am committed to the University of Minnesota. Go Gophers!”

Robinson was named all-Patriot League first team with 50 tackles, 10 pass break-ups and three interceptions in nine games during the 2023 season. He played in 11 games in both the 2022 and ’21 seasons.
