2025 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban Get Refreshing Improvements
The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban are set to hit the market with several refreshing improvements, reaffirming their status as the industry’s best-selling full-size SUVs. These iconic vehicles, with a history of over 45 years at the forefront of the segment, are receiving updates in design, engineering, and technology to provide customers with an even more compelling option.
New Exterior and Interior Designs
The exterior of both the Tahoe and Suburban receives a facelift with bolder signature lighting and new lighting animations. A fresh front-end design, new 24-inch wheels, and two new exterior colors, Cypress Gray and Lakeshore Blue Metallic, contribute to a more expressive and sophisticated appearance. The interior is revamped with a focus on technology, featuring a best-in-segment 17.7-inch-diagonal central touchscreen, a redesigned center console with new storage options, and a repositioned wireless charging pad. The overall aesthetic is elevated with refined materials and unique interior options, such as Victory Red stitching on RST and a Jet Black/Sky Cool Gray interior on Premier.
Updated Powerful Diesel Engine
One of the significant updates is the introduction of a more powerful second-generation 3.0L turbo-diesel Duramax engine. This engine, previously introduced on the Silverado, offers 10 percent more horsepower than the current models, providing greater confidence on the road, especially during towing. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, this diesel engine is available on all retail trims, including Z71.
Ride and Handling Refinements
Building on the success of the current model’s independent rear suspension, the 2025 Tahoe and Suburban feature updated ride-and-handling dynamics for a more refined driving experience. Steering calibration improvements contribute to a confident drive across various conditions. Air Ride Adaptive Suspension and Magnetic Ride Control are available features, offering automatic load-leveling, ride-height adjustment, and enhanced efficiency.
Updated Trailering Technology
Recognizing the importance of towing for customers, Chevrolet has enhanced its trailering technology. In addition to existing features, new additions include Trailer Tire Health, Mobile Trailering App Load Rating Info, Forward Path Indication, Boat Ramp Assist, and Trailer Navigation. These features aim to boost confidence for both first-time and experienced tow drivers.
Enhanced Safety and Technology
The 2025 Tahoe and Suburban are equipped with advanced safety features, including a groundbreaking Interior Motion Detection system that can detect certain types of motion in the vehicle to help prevent passengers from being left in rear areas. Connected Cameras provide a fully integrated network for customers to remotely view their vehicle’s interior and exterior, offering features like automatic Crash Recording and Security Recording. The vehicles also come with Chevy Safety Assist, Super Cruise, and AutoSense Power Liftgate for added safety and convenience.
Production and Availability
Production of the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban will take place at GM’s Arlington Assembly plant in Texas. With an investment of over $500 million in the facility, GM aims to strengthen its position in the full-size SUV market. The vehicles are expected to go on sale late next year, with additional details, including pricing, to be announced closer to the start of production.
