Mac Jones

It’s obvious even to some people with limited knowledge of the game of football that Mac Jones is not the answer as quarterback for the new England Patriots. Neither is Bailey Zappe who is so horrible the other 31 NFL teams passed on Zappe when the Patriots placed him on waivers. The Patriots will be lucky to win one, two more games at best the rest of the season. Malik Cunningham, a former college quarterback, should be the quarterback for the rest of the year. I would also if possible bring back Will Grier as the backup. Release Bailey Zappe and deactivate Mac Jones for the rest of the season.

As I have stated before I would have fired Bill Belichick by now. Have offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien finish out the year and do whatever it takes to get Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh as the coach for the new England Patriots in 2024. And draft LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels, who is not only a solid passer, but like the Bills’ Josh Allen and the Eagles’ Jalen Hurts brings the running ability to the offense thus giving opponents something else to game plan for. Now the only question is will Bob Kraft have the guts to do this.

Bill Belichick

William Stephen Belichick, you’ve done a great job since owner Robert Kraft of the New England Patriots hired you as General Manager and Coach on Jan. 20, 2000. But all good things must come to an end. Since Tom Brady left the Patriots on Feb. 1, 2020 and then played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Patriots have lost more games than won. The quarterback situation is possibly the worst in the NFL and the blame starts with the General Manager and Coach. That being said, it’s time to leave, it was a great run and wishing Coach Belichick all the luck in the future.

Leaf blowers

Only in Cambridge would a proposal be proposed to ban gas powered leaf blowers, which would be an absolute net negative for homeowners.  I own a half acre property, thankfully not in Cambridge, and I use my gas powered leaf blower/vacuum for six straight Saturdays in the fall.  I use about two gallons of gas during that timeframe, versus the 15 gallons of gas I use weekly with my car.  Do the math: multiply 15 x 52, which equals 780.  Divide 2 by 780, and that percentage of leaf blower gas usage shows just how much I am polluting the air, i.e, NOTHING AT ALL.  Yes, gas leaf blowers are noisy, but last time I checked, our home windows are not opened in October and November.  In addition, electric leaf blowers are almost as loud as gas leaf blowers, and my having to connect several extension cords over a half acre property would be absolutely ridiculous.  And saying that gas powered leaf blowers are a contributor towards heart and lung disease makes absolutely no sense at all, and it gives me about 20 more reasons to never spend any money with businesses in Cambridge.
