Legislature audit
To Diana DiZoglio: Please know that I, (and many thousands of other long-suffering taxpayers), am in your corner in your quest to be able to audit our self-serving legislators. In the famous words of 19th century British politician, Lord Acton… “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Nowhere better to prove this point but for the absolute disregard for the taxpayers shown by our socialist dictators purporting to do “the people’s business” under the golden dome in our state capitol. Please let me know where I can find a petition to sign.
Thank you for your effort!

Hamas atrocities
One month ago, the world witnessed a second Holocaust in a
span of seven decades. The horrors of the first one were of unspeakable proportions. This time around, it was perpetrated by barbarians named Hamas whose main goal is to wipe Israel from the face of earth. The Boston Herald column of Nov. 7 by Joe Dwinell portrays that unspeakable tragedy.
Such acts of barbarism should never have been allowed to happen. Yet they did partly because of the erroneous foreign policy aspects of the current Biden administration as well as that of Obama in letting Iran gets its hand on frozen assets. Iran used it to build up terrorists in Gaza, Yemen, Syria, Iraq.
In the current civilized world, it is an urgent call of the hour for nations and politicians around the world to search for a solution for permanent peace among Israel and Palestinian citizens to prevent a repetition of Oct. 7. Terrorist organizations such as Hamas which never seems to care for the welfare of its own citizens should never be allowed to see the light of day again.
My thoughts and prayers go to the victims of this horrific
tragedy.

Field hockey
I totally disagree with the clueless MIAA decision to allow a boy on the Dighton-Rehoboth High School field hockey team especially after a young girl was seriously hurt. I hope her parents send the medical bills to the MIAA since they are 100% responsible for her injuries. I don’t care if the state is following federal guidelines, commonsense needed to be applied here.
Boys who are that age are stronger and more physically developed than girls should not be playing in a girls sports league team. Massachusetts needs to set up a separate boys field hockey league so they can play against other boys thus we will never have this happen again.

College trouble
The Herald said the right thing (“College presidents need to show leadership,” 11/6). The problem is that they ARE showing leadership, just the wrong kind.
Where do you think these students get these hateful and dangerous ideas? They are sent down from leadership disguised as curriculum and free speech but it is just progressive teaching.
People need to wake up and look at the anti-American teachings going on in every college in the country before this next generation really destroys this country.
