Patriots’ Bill Belichick answers whether he believes he’s coaching for his job
Patriots coach Bill Belichick deflected Monday morning when asked if he believed he could be coaching for his job this Sunday against the Colts.

“I’m going to control what I can control and I’m going to get ready for the Colts,” he said.
Belichick also deflected when asked if he had received any assurances about his job from team ownership.
“My focus is on getting ready for the Colts,” Belichick said.
Sunday’s 20-17 loss to Washington dropped the Patriots to 2-7 on the season. Only the Cardinals have fewer wins this season. The Pats are currently slated to pick fourth overall in next year’s draft.
During an earlier interview on WEEI, Belichick admitted the team’s ongoing season is among the most frustrating he’s ever experienced. Belichick is in his 49th season as an NFL coach and 24th as the head coach of the Patriots.
The Pats will kick off at 9:30 a.m. ET against the Colts in Frankfurt, Germany. Their annual bye week will follow.
