Trent Brown, rookie wide receiver among Patriots’ inactives vs. Commanders

FOXBORO — The Patriots will be without starting left tackle Trent Brown on Sunday against the Commanders.

Brown is listed among the Patriots’ six inactives. Here’s the full list, which includes rookie wide receiver Kayshon Boutte as a healthy scratch:

Mac Jones will start at quarterback with Bailey Zappe as his backup.

The Patriots will dress four wide receivers — Demario Douglas, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Jalen Reagor and Tyquan Thornton — with Parker and Boutte out and Kendrick Bourne on injured reserve. Thornton was a healthy scratch last week.

The Patriots’ available offensive tackles will be Conor McDermott, Mike Onwenu and Vederian Lowe with Brown out and Calvin Anderson recently placed on injured reserve. David Andrews, Cole Strange, Sidy Sow, Atonio Mafi and Jake Andrews are available at guard and center.

The Patriots signed defensive tackle Jeremiah Pharms Jr. to their 53-man roster this week. He’ll replace Roberts.

Austin was just signed this week after he was released from the Texans’ practice squad. He was selected in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Bills out of Oregon State.
