Yemen H1 2024: Toyota holds 94.4% share, Hilux #1
The Toyota Hilux is the most popular vehicle in Yemen over H1.
The Yemeni new car market slides -10.8% year-on-year over the First Half of 2024 to 3,978 units. Toyota (-8.9%) continues to hold a suffocating grip with an extravagant 94.4% market share vs. 92.4% a year ago. Lexus (-11.9%) stays at 1.9% while Suzuki (-11.5%) is up one spot to round out the podium. The Toyota Hilux (-5.6%) holds onto the top spot ahead of the Toyota Land Cruiser (+11.6%) passing the Toyota Land Cruiser Pickup (-61.7%) in freefall. The Toyota Fortuner (+51.1%) and Prado (+14%) complete the Top 5 in solid form. The Lexus LX (-24.1%) is the only non-Toyota model in the Top 13 at #9.
