Gophers women nab big-time blue liner from Colgate

Minnesota’s women’s hockey team added a big-time blue liner on Friday. Sydney Morrow, a junior this fall, has transferred from Colgate after amassing 39 points in 34 games for Colgate last season.

Morrow had 13 goals and 26 assists for the Raiders, a Frozen Four participant last season before losing to Wisconsin, 3-1. She was named a second team All-American by CCM/ACHA, and third team by USCHO.

Morrow, who graduated from Shattuck St. Mary’s in Faribault, began her career at Ohio State, where she notched three goals and five assists as a freshman. She also was a member of the U.S. U18 national team that won a silver medal at the 2022 world championships.
