The Skoda Octavia is #1 in Israel over Q2 2024.

According to our local partner cartube.co.il, the Israeli new car market is up 4.9% year-on-year in June to 25,942 sales, leading to a year-to-date tally off -11% to 155,145. Toyota (+6.7%) scores a third consecutive monthly win with 12.6% share, enabling the company to snap the YTD brands pole position off Hyundai (-51.5%) imploding this month to #4. Kia (-24.9%) stays #2 but suffers greatly. The best performance of the month goes to MG (+370.8%) up 10 spots on May to #3 with 8.7% share, both records. Skoda (+16.3%), Mitsubishi (+78.4%), Seat (+182.8%) and Mazda (+39.9%) also impress in the Top 10. BYD (-4.2%) disappoints for once at #9 vs. #5 over H1.

Model-wise, the Skoda Octavia (+163%) takes the lead over Q2 with a dominant 4.8% share, way above the BYD Atto 3 (-45.4%) falling heavily. The Atto 3 remains the overall best-seller so far in 2024 but sales are down -22.3% vs. +99% for the Octavia. The Hyundai Elantra (-28.7%) takes the third spot over both Q2 and H1. The Seat Arona (+316.3%) and Toyota Corolla Cross (+150.2%) both post spectacular gains to round out the Top 5. The MG ZS (+1815.6%) is up to #8 and a close second in June. The Chery FX aka Omoda 5 is inside the Top 10 at #10.
