Red Sox move Yankees series opener earlier for Game 4 of NBA Finals
The Red Sox and Yankees will start their Friday, June 14 series opener at 6:30 p.m. instead of 7:10 p.m. so as to accommodate the Boston Celtics.
“The change was made as a courtesy to fans interested in watching the Celtics take on the Dallas Mavericks in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m. on Friday,” the press release explained. “Go Celtics!”
The Celtics have a 2-0 series lead as they prepare to face the Mavericks in Dallas on Wednesday evening.
This will be the first of four regular-season meetings between the Red Sox and Yankees this season. Fenway Park gates will open at 5 p.m. and be televised on NESN.
