2024 Nissan Sentra SR is more than a commuter

As Nissan enters Grasso’s Garage for the first time in 2024, all eyes are on the revitalized Sentra and our tester model, the SR. This commuter has many purposes, but in Grasso’s Garage, one main reason jumps off the page.

Rounding the corner with a $23K base price, the Sentra delivers a lot of bang for the buck, while insurance and gas costs remain exceptionally low. This commuter’s dream ensures that while money saving is at the fore-front, interior space is overzealous. Powering the Nissan Sentra SR is the proven 2.0L 4-cylinder with 149 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque. We noticed a Xtronic CVT transmission, which was very quiet and actually enjoyable to drive. With Sentra getting an overhauled refresh, the exterior styling is what keeps Sentra popular amongst consumers. The SR adds restyled rear fascia, new interior accent stitching, while still enjoying the SV features such as an 8-speaker Bose Premium Audio system, turn signal indicators in the mirrors, and heated front seats as standard. With class exclusive safety features, like Intelligent Forward Collision Warning equipped as standard, additional driver-assist technology includes Intelligent Driver Alertness, available Intelligent Around View Monitor, available Intelligent Cruise Control and standard Easy-Fill Tire Alert system, the Sentra certainly has identified what consumers are looking for when buying a commuter. Also similar to other Nissan models, Nissan Safety Shield 360, a suite of six advanced driver-assist systems including Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and Rear Automatic Braking are standard. Our SR premium package was an additional $2,490 and offered everything as mentioned previously in addition to a power moonroof and power seats. Black alloy wheels optioned up for another $785.

Price, Price, Price! With vehicle prices over-inflated in our market today, from used cars at sticker prices to over-sticker new cars, Nissan gets the big picture with their entry level commuter. Offering such a great base price, and many model safety features with optional upgrades, Sentra boasts looks, size and reliable history easily making this good for families, commuters, first time vehicle buyers and much more.
