The Patriots signed four undrafted free agents after they tried out for the team during rookie minicamp over the weekend.

Running back Terrell Jennings, offensive lineman Ryan Johnson, linebacker Jay Person and edge defender Jotham Russell signed to the Patriots’ 90-man roster on Monday. The team released veteran running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn, who first signed to the Patriots’ practice squad late last season, to make room on the roster for the four rookies.

The Patriots also made changes to their front office. Director of pro scouting Steve Cargile and area scout Taylor Redd won’t return to the team in 2024, a source confirmed. Neil Stratton from InsideTheLeague.com first posted the news to X on Monday. More moves could be coming for the front office with executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf officially in charge.

Russell, 20, an Australian native, doesn’t count against the 90-man roster as part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway program. The 6-foot-4, 239-pound athletic project is converting to defensive end as a former Australian rugby player.

Jennings, 23, is a product of Florida A&M. The 6-foot, 217-pound running back finished his college career with 281 rushing attempts for 1,860 yards with 24 touchdowns.

Johnson, 23, played collegiately at Duqesne and Youngstown State as a guard and tackle.

Person, 24, played at Chattanooga after transferring from Appalachian State. He registered 9.5 sacks at Chattanooga last season.
