The Latvian new car market is up 13.4% year-on-year in 2023 to 19.083 units. Toyota, Skoda and Volkswagen are the most popular brands. This year the Toyota Corolla reclaims the top spot in the models ranking for the third time in the past 4 years, upsetting the Toyota RAV4. The Toyota Yaris Cross and Hilux follow while the Skoda Octavia rounds out the Top 5. Private buyers prefer the Toyota RAV4, Skoda Kamiq, Cupra Formentor, Skoda Karoq and Kodiaq while companies go for the Toyota Yaris Cross, Corolla, RAV4, Skoda Octavia and Kodiaq.
