
Two planes clip wings on deicing pad at Logan
Two planes clipped wings on a deicing pad at Logan Airport this morning, according to federal authorities.
Both planes were JetBlue aircraft. According to the Federal Aviation Administration, JetBlue Flight 777’s left winglet struck the right horizontal stabilizer on JetBlue Flight 551. The wing clip occurred at about 6:40 this morning.
The incident occurred on a deicing pad on the tarmac. That area is controlled by the airlines, according to the FAA.
The FAA is investigating.
