Electrify America Opens Its Largest EV Charging Station Yet in Orlando, Florida with 24 Ultra-Fast Chargers

Electrify America is making a significant investment in Florida’s growing electric vehicle infrastructure with the opening of its largest charging station to date. Located at the Sand Lake Corners South shopping center in Orlando, the new facility features an impressive 24 DC fast chargers, each capable of delivering charging speeds of up to 350 kilowatts. That’s a substantial number of high-powered charging stalls at a single location, and it represents an important step toward addressing one of the biggest frustrations EV owners continue to face: finding reliable, readily available public charging. With more electric vehicles hitting Florida roads every year, larger charging locations like this one could make a meaningful difference in how comfortably drivers travel throughout the state.

The new Electrify America station is located at 8111-8481 South John Young Parkway, putting it within convenient reach of Interstate 4, Orlando International Airport, and some of Central Florida’s biggest attractions, including Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort. Each of the 24 chargers features a CCS connector and supports charging speeds up to 350 kW, although actual charging performance will depend on the vehicle’s capabilities, battery temperature, and other conditions. For compatible EVs, that kind of charging power can dramatically reduce the time spent waiting to get back on the road. Another welcome benefit is the station’s location within an established shopping center, giving drivers nearby restaurants and retail options while their vehicles recharge. It’s the kind of practical charging setup that makes EV ownership considerably easier, especially for families traveling through Orlando on vacation.

Florida is an especially important market for public charging expansion. According to federal alternative fuel vehicle registration data, the Sunshine State had the second-highest number of registered electric vehicles in the country in 2025, trailing only California. Electrify America has already established a sizable presence in Florida, operating more than 350 chargers across over 60 stations statewide. The company also has plans to add another 10-charger location in Orlando in the coming months, further strengthening its network in one of the state’s busiest metropolitan areas. Anthony Lambkin, vice president of Operations at Electrify America, emphasized that the new Orlando facility reflects the company’s commitment to expanding convenient, high-speed charging as Florida’s EV population continues to grow.

We think this is exactly the kind of infrastructure investment the electric vehicle market needs if EV ownership is going to become more appealing to a broader group of drivers. While automakers continue introducing electric vehicles with longer driving ranges and increasingly impressive charging capabilities, the public charging experience still has room for improvement. A station with 24 high-powered chargers offers a much better opportunity to accommodate multiple vehicles simultaneously, potentially reducing congestion and lengthy waits during busy travel periods. Of course, charging reliability and consistent maintenance will ultimately determine how successful the location becomes. Still, Electrify America’s new Orlando station is an encouraging development for Florida EV owners and visitors alike. As more charging facilities of this size begin appearing along major travel corridors, the prospect of taking an electric vehicle on a long-distance road trip should become a little less intimidating and considerably more convenient.
