The Deepal S07 skyrockets to an incredible 2nd place in August.

4,951 new cars hit Slovenian roads in August, another impressive +15.9% year-on-year lift, following a market up 16.2% on the year prior in August 2025. The year-to-date tally is now up 16.5% to 46,037 after growing 8.1% last year. Strikingly, the top 3 brands are all in negative: Volkswagen (-10%) s down to 11.2% share vs. 14.3% so far this year, with Renault (-8.2%) and Skoda (-16.9%) also struggling, Toyota (+9.2%) remains in 4th place above Ford (+35.7%) and Kia (+19%). Tesla (+261.4%) spectacularly rallies back up 38 spots on last month to #7, with Citroen (+32.7%) and Audi (+24.4%) also strong in the remainder of the Top 10. Below, Leapmotor (+300%), Geely (+277.8%), Dongfeng (+317.4%), Omoda (+2275%) and Fiat (+272.7%) stand out while newcomer Deepal shoots up to #16 with 2.5% share.

We have a surprising leader in the models charts this month: the Tesla Model Y (+580%) snaps the pole position for the second time ever in Slovenia after March 2023. It now ranks #16 year-to-date vs. #21 over the Full Year 2026. The 2nd spot is unprecedented: the new Deepal S07 shoots up 99 spots on last month to land directly at #2 with 2.3% share, representing 94% of the brand’s sales for the month. Leader in July, the locally produced Renault Twingo is down to a still very satisfying third place, distancing the Renault Clio (-59.7%) and Skoda Octavia (-13.8%) both in trouble. The Geely Starray (+541.7%), Opel Frontera (+157.5%) and Ford Tourneo Custom (+117.1%) shine below.
