The iCAUR V23 has landed in Indonesia.

The wholesales market in Indonesia continues to rally back up with August volumes up 32.3% year-on-year to 81,756 units, and up 19.7% year-to-date  to 599,491. Retail sales are up 25.5% to 83,422 for the month and up 13.9% year-to-date to 594,984.

Brand leader Toyota (+11.1%) significantly trails the market to eke out a 24.9% share well below the 29.3% it commands year-to-date. Daihatsu (+34.2%) is in better shape at #2 while BYD (+207.2%) triples its sales year-on-year to repeat at #3 with 9.6% share, its best since last November. Jaecoo (+937.7%) delivers an 8th straight Top 10 finish at #7 with 4% share, with Hino (+101.6%) and Mitsubishi Fuso (+121.8%) also very healthy. Geely (+846.9%) stands out at #11. New Chinese brand iCAUR lands at #19 with 500 sales. Note it is called iCAUR in export markets as the iCar trademark remains the property of Apple.

In the retail charts, Toyota (+5.8%) and Daihatsu (+9.9%) dominate ahead of BYD (+149.9%), Suzuki (+7.3%) and Mitsubishi (-9.7%). Jaecoo (+1037.9%) celebrates one year in market at #8, with Geely (+668%), Mitsubishi Fuso (+124.4%) and Hino (+101.6%) making themselves noticed. iCAUR lands at #18.

In the wholesales models charts, the Daihatsu Gran Max Pikap (+67.7%) surges ahead to repeat at #1 and snaps the #1 spot YTD in the process, dislodging the Toyota Kijang Innova (-6.3%). The new BYD Atto 1 ranks #2 again and climbs to #7 year-to-date. The Toyota Avanza (+9.3%), Suzuki New Carry Pikap (+25.4%) and new Jaecoo J5 ensure the Top 6 is identical to last month. The Toyota Veloz (+254.2%) delivers the biggest gain in the Top 20 at #9. The iCAUR V23 lands at #34.
