Changan sales are up 334.7% over H1 in Egypt.

The Egyptian new light vehicle market continues to surge ahead, with sales up 32.4% year-on-year over the First Half of 2026. #2 last year, Nissan (+39.9%) beats the market and reclaims the brands pole position with 15.2% share vs. 14.4% a year ago. Chevrolet (+23.3%) is knocked down to #2 at 13.6% share. Chery (+24.5%) stays in third place while MG (+35.1%) brilliantly snaps the 4th spot off Hyundai (-7.2%). The best performers in the Top 10 are Chinese: Changan is up 334.7% and 10 spots to #7, King Long gains 133.7% and 6 ranks to #19 and BAIC is up 59.5% to #8. Below, Haval (+202.7%), Citroen (+75.4%) and Suzuki (+66.3%) stand out. 

Over in the models charts, the Nissan Sunny (+29.8%) remains a distant leader at 11.3% share ahead of the Chevrolet T-Series pickup (+25.3%) and Hyundai Elantra (+14.1%) ensuring the podium is unchanged on last year but all tailing the market. The MG ZS (+63.1%) is up five spots year-on-year to #4, pushing the Chevrolet Optra (+12.7%) down to #5. The Chery Arrizo 5 (+53.2%) is also up five ranks to #6 while the Changan CS55 Plus (+312.8%) soars 21 spots to #7, the King Long XMQ6500E (+133.7%) is up 11 ranks to #9 and the BAIC U5 Plus (+131.5%) is up 14 spots to #11. The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max (#19) is the best-selling newcomer above the MG GT (#20) and Chery Arrizo 6 (#25).
