High school roundup/scores: Sysy Emmanuel powers St. Mary’s into quarterfinals

Behind 22 points from Sysy Emmanuel along with 13 from Charleigh Green and 12 from Janae Holmes, third-seeded St. Mary’s (Lynn) (21-3) rolled to a 69-51 win over No. 14 Archbishop Williams in Div. 2 girls basketball second-round action.

Elsewhere, Bella Bingham finished with 26 points, while Katie McDonald drained 19 points herself as sixth-seeded Walpole (16-6) advanced with a 63-52 victory over No. 11 Duxbury.

Keyona Raines tallied 16 points, seven rebounds and two assists as Cathedral defeated Greater New Bedford, 72-56, in Div. 3 round of 16 action.

Muji Vader put up 27 points, while Lili Roth added 13 points as No. 7 Minuteman (22-0) moved on to the Div. 5 Elite 8 with a 46-43 win over No. 10 Mahar.

Boys basketball

In the Div. 4 tournament, Jomar Terrero dropped 19 points, as No. 3 Georgetown (17-5) advanced to the Round of 8 with a 56-28 win over No. 14 Sutton.
