Cardenales firman al infielder Ramón Urías por 1 año con opción mutua para 2027

JUPITER, Florida, EE.UU. (AP) — Los Cardenales de San Luis han firmado al infielder mexicano Ramón Urías con un contrato de un año con una opción mutua para 2027, anunció el equipo el sábado.
Urías, de 31 años, jugó la mayor parte de su carrera con los Orioles de Baltimore antes de ser traspasado a los Astros de Houston a mitad de la temporada pasada. Entre ambos equipos, bateó para .241 con 11 jonrones y 44 carreras impulsadas en 2025.
Urías tuvo su mejor temporada en 2022, cuando conectó 16 jonrones y ganó un Guante de Oro en la tercera base, que es su posición principal. También tiene experiencia en la segunda base, el campocorto y la primera base.
Para hacerle espacio a Urías en el roster, el lanzador derecho Zak Kent fue designado para asignación.
