Boston Police Blotter: Man arrested on rape, child porn charges
Police arrested a Boston man for allegedly sexual assaulting a minor and creating and disseminating child pornography on Friday.
Talik Rashaun Garcia, 36, was arrested following a search warrant at an apartment on Peterborough Street, executed by officers from the Boston Police and Mass State Police, BPD said in a statement.
Garcia was charged with rape and abuse of child, aggravated by a 10 year age difference, trafficking of persons for sexual servitude under the age of 18, posing or exhibiting a child in a state of nudity or sexual conduct, dissemination of that kind of material, as well as knowing purchase or possession of a visual material of a child depicted in sexual conduct.
The suspect is expected to be arraigned at Boston Municipal Court in Roxbury on Tuesday.

Injured State Trooper released from hospital
A Mass State Police trooper who was injured in a crash on Saturday in Salisbury has been released from the hospital, according to an MSP spokesperson.
The trooper was hit after pulling over on I-95 South to move a ladder that was in the travel lane. When the trooper got back into his vehicle, he was hit by another car.
The driver of the other car Josue Levi Cuevas Santana, 24, of Lawrence, faces criminal charges, including negligent operation, speeding, using a mobile device while driving, and failure to move over for an emergency vehicle.
Santana was also injured in the crash and a court date for his summons has not been set yet.
“The Massachusetts State Police deeply appreciates the care provided by the medical team as well as the outpouring of support from our constituents and law enforcement partners,” MSP spokesperson Tim McGuirk said in a statement.

BPD responded to 203 incidents in the 24-hour period ending at 10 a.m. Monday, according to the department’s incident log. Those included five aggravated assaults, one residential burglary, two larcenies from a vehicle, and seven miscellaneous larcenies.
