Max Brosmer replaces injured J.J. McCarthy in game between Vikings and Giants
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Everything was going right for the Vikings. They were in complete control on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium when the worst case scenario played out in real time.
On a sequence shortly before halftime, young quarterback J.J. McCarthy got strip sacked, which resulted in a defensive touchdown, and he suffered a right hand injury in the process. After being evaluated at halftime, McCarthy was ruled out for the game.
As a result, the Vikings asked rookie quarterback Max Brosmer to finish the game against the New York Giants.
