Boston Police Blotter: Missing person, firearm arrests

A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of two individuals on multiple firearms charges early Tuesday morning.

Officers pulled over a vehicle with a defective brake light, after which they observed the rear passenger hunched over, prompting an exit order and pat frisk.

The police officers recovered two firearms in the vehicle and arrested Zion Ford, 18, of Boston, and Jamori Freeman, 21, of West Roxbury.

One firearm was a Smith & Wesson SD9 VE, loaded with one round in the chamber and seven rounds in the magazine, which has a capacity of sixteen rounds.

The second firearm was a Deterrence Dispensed Civilized Defense CDD 17.2 with an attached light, loaded with one round in the chamber and ten rounds in a sixteen-round-capacity magazine.

One firearm’s serial number had been scratched, and the other was missing.

Missing person

The police department has requested the public’s help locating 15-Year-Old Briyana Jacques, of Dorchester.

Jacques was described as a black female approximately 5’5″ with a thin build, brown hair with blonde highlights and a nose piercing. She was last seen wearing a black jacket and grey sweatpants.

She was seen Friday near Rosedale Street and Saturday in the area of Ashmont station at about 1 p.m.. Jacques was also seen near Saturday at 1300 Blue Hill Ave. around 3 p.m.

She frequents Victory Road, South Bay Mall, Mather Street and Wheatland Avenue.

The police department ask anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts to call 911 or contact District B-3 detectives at 617-343-4712.

Juveniles arrest for attempted moped theft

Five juveniles were arrested Monday after an alleged attempted moped theft in Dorchester.

Boston Police officers had been patrolling the area of Washington Street and Brent Street when they observed a group of juveniles gathered in a parking lot, attempting to steal a moped. Officers observed the group surrounding a red moped and tampering with its steering column before the suspects fled on foot.

Five individuals were detained after a quick pursuit.

The owner of the moped told officers the group had attempted to steal the same moped from her earlier that day.

The juveniles, ranging in ages 14 to 17, were placed under arrest and are expected to be charged with delinquent to wit, unarmed robbery and delinquent to wit, malicious destruction of property under $1,200.

Incident summary

The BPD reports that its officers responded to 236 incidents in its 24-hour report ending at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Those include two robberies, four aggravated assaults, one residential burglary, one theft from vehicle, one stolen car and 26 instances of miscellaneous larceny.

Arrests

All of the below-named defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

– Adrian Paulo, 105 Washington Ave., Chelsea. Operating under the influence of alcohol.

– Sara Ruiz, 52 Talbot Ave., Boston. Larceny under $250.

– Benjamin Josey, 1059 Tremont, Boston. Carrying a dangerous weapon.

– Hector Sanchez-Flores, 112 Southampton St., Boston. External warrant arrest.

– Jamori Freeman, 31 Randolph, Southbridge. Carrying a firearm without a license.
