Kids ‘n Kinship provides friendships and positive role models to children and youth ages 5-16 who are in need of an additional supportive relationship with an adult. Here’s one of the youth waiting for a mentor:

First name: Sophie

Age: 6

Interests: Sophie enjoys playing outside, going to parks, swimming or riding her bike (she has been riding without training wheels for almost 2 years). Inside, Sophie  loves to play with her baby dolls and stuffed animals. Her favorite is Stitch. She also likes to watch movies and do art projects!  She loves animals but is allergic to dogs.

Personality/Characteristics: Sophie is a people-person! She is friendly, outgoing, and talkative. She loves playing with her friends and hanging out with her family! She’s very expressive and talks a lot about the people in her life. Her guardian says she is a friend to everyone. Sophie shared she feels sad when she isn’t included by others and has no one to play with her. Her guardian would love for Sophie to have another adult in her life who can be there for her and support her.

Goals/dreams: Sophie is hoping to become a Vet someday. Her wishes are to have a baby unicorn and horse, and also a swimming pool!
