Cyprus June 2025: Top 10 100% SUV, Dacia Duster, Kia EV3 shine

First Top 10 finish for the Kia EV3.

According to our local partners SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT, new car sales in Cyprus edge down -4.9% year-on-year in June to 1,347. The H1 2025 tally is off -6.5% to 8,221. Kia (-36.2%) and Volkswagen (-15%) remain the two favourite carmakers in the country despite steep YoY falls. Hyundai (-27.3%) is also in trouble but climbs back up two spots on May to #3. Nissan (+7.7%) defies the negative market and stays at #4 while Toyota (-33.1%) freefalls at #5. The next five brands all post splendid grains. Jeep (+175%) and Skoda (+172.2%) are the most dynamic, followed by Dacia (+50%), Renault (+29.7%) and Mercedes (+7.3%).

The Kia Stonic (-34.2%) is once again the best-selling model with 5.4% share even though it properly craters. At #2, the Hyundai Tucson (-47.6%) is in even poorer form. The Nissan Qashqai (+59.5%) surges to #3, distancing the VW T-Roc (-24.7%) and Kia Sportage (-47.8%). The Dacia Duster (+60%) is estimated to rank #6 with 3% share ahead of the Toyota C-HR (+26.7%) and the new Kia EV3 lodging its first ever Top 10 finish in Cyprus. The Nissan Juke (-21.3%) and Jeep Avenger ensure the Top 10 is entirely composed of SUVs.
