Red Sox doubleheader: Brayan Bello to take hill in suspended game

When Tuesday night’s game against the Cincinnati Reds was suspended due to rain, the Red Sox were winning 2-1 heading into the top of the fourth inning.

Richard Fitts had thrown the first three innings for Boston. Now the club is hoping Brayan Bello can finish up the remaining six.

Cora also said “there’s a good chance” that right-hander Cooper Criswell will be the 27th man for the doubleheader, though the starter for Game 2 has not yet been announced.

The Reds plan to have left-hander Sam Moll take the mound when Game 1 resumes.
