Lucas: National Guard in Democrat spin machine
What is the difference between Massachusetts and California?
In California, they call out the National Guard to harass and hamper illegal immigrants.
In Massachusetts, they call out the National Guard to hug and help them.
It must be an East Coast/West Coast thing.
It is the same U.S. National Guard, of course, only they are on opposite sides of deporting illegal immigrants.
In California, they help get them out of the country. In Massachusetts, they help keep them in.
In California, they protect state and federal buildings from pro-illegal immigrant demonstrators. In Massachusetts, they protect hotels and motels from anti-illegal immigrant demonstrators.
In California, the soldiers break heads; in Massachusetts, they break bread.
To be clear, though, it was not a reluctant Gavin Newsom, the foppish, pro-illegal immigrant governor of California, who called out the guard to deal with the Los Angeles anti-ICE riots. It was President Donald Trump.
When Newsom failed to act, Trump did
Rioting, burning, and looting are a way of life in L.A. You even get paid to do it. If not, you can safely loot and thrash a liquor store. It’s California dreaming.
In Massachusetts, Gov. Maura Healey was ahead of the curve in calling out the National Guard to deal with the illegal immigrant invasion.
She did so in August/September 2023 when the state was overwhelmed with illegal immigrants that hapless President Joe Biden welcomed into the country and who found a welfare haven in Massachusetts.
But the Massachusetts National Guard was not used to help send anybody back to where they came from — even when hundreds camped out at Logan Airport, where planes were handy — but to make sure they were cared for at taxpayer expense.
Everybody who broke the law by crashing into the state received free food, housing, medical care, security, education, transportation, phones, cash cards, and who knows what else.
Nobody was sent back until President Trump, as promised, shut down the border and initiated his illegal immigrant deportation policy.
But rather than thank Trump for halting the flow of illegal immigrants from around the world into a state already overburdened with high taxes and diminishing services — not to mention violent illegal immigrant crime — Healey has doubled down on her attacks on Trump.
She has become our Gavin Newsom, which is why, on a smaller scale, people are leaving Massachusetts the way they are leaving California.
Siding with illegal immigrants and the criminals among them over the needs and concerns of the average citizen is killing the Democrat Party. Nobody likes anybody who breaks the line.
But rather than blame Biden for creating the problem by opening the border and flooding the country with illegal immigrants, Democrats blame Trump for solving it. And they call him Hitler for doing so
A case in point is Democrat Senate President Karen Spilka’s comments about Hitler and ICE “kidnapping people.”
Spilka, a leading Massachusetts Democrat and Trump hater, said that Trump reminded her of Hitler in 1930s Germany when the Nazi dictator rose to power.
In an interview last week, Spilka said of ICE, “This reminds me of the 1930s in Europe, when Hitler’s rise — I hate to make this comparison — but rise to power, when people were just being arrested without warrants.”
The “people” Hitler arrested and murdered without warrants were not even illegal immigrants, but German citizens — millions of men, women and children — who happened to be Jews.
Is this what Spilka is accusing Trump of doing? How shameful is that?
