Boston Police investigate deadly shooting: Man shot in vehicle before crashing

Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Roxbury, where a man was reportedly shot in his vehicle before crashing.

Boston police officers responded at around 10 p.m. on Thursday for a person shot in the area of 163 Ruthven St.

Upon arrival, cops found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

“Preliminary investigation suggests the incident may have occurred inside a vehicle that subsequently crashed,” police said in a statement.

The man was transported by Boston EMS to Boston Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

Detectives from the Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit are investigating.

Police are urging anyone with information on the incident to contact the Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.
