The MG ZS is the best-selling vehicle in Wales in May.

Thanks to SMMT we can share with you the Top 10 best-sellers for each UK nation in May. Keep in mind this is a zoom in by nation, all sales figures are already included in the May 2025 UK update. This month England (+3.6% to 128,313) is the only nation in positive, with all the rest is stark negative: Northern Ireland is down -16.5% to 3,265, Wales down -8.8% to 4,817 and Scotland off -7.7% to 13,295. Year-to-date, England is up 3.7% to 730,208, Scotland edges up 0.2% to 70,716 but Wales is down -4.7% to 27,639 and Northern Ireland off -7.1% to 20,877.

The podium finishers are as follows: the Ford Puma is #1 in England, #2 in Wales and #4 in Northern Ireland, the Nissan Qashqai #1 in Northern Ireland and #3 in England, the Vauxhall Corsa #1 in Scotland, the MG ZS #1 in Wales and equal #2 in Scotland, the Kia Sportage #2 in England and #4 in Wales, the Peugeot 2008 #2 in Northern Ireland, the MG 3 equal #2 in Scotland, the Nissan Juke #3 in Northern Ireland and the MG HS #3 in Wales. Other great performers include the Hyundai Kona #5 in England, VW T-Roc #5 in Wales, Vauxhall Mokka #6 in England, Peugeot 3008 #8 in Northern Ireland, and Vauxhall Grandland #9 in Scotland.
