Fatal crash in Mounds View closes I-35W south in area
A person was killed in a crash in Mounds View on Interstate 35W on Tuesday morning and the highway is closed in the area.
The southbound interstate is closed between U.S. 10 and Ramsey County Road I until about 2 p.m., according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. U.S. 10 eastbound is closed at the exit ramp to I-35W south.
State troopers responded to a multi-vehicle crash in the area of southbound I-35W and County Road I at 10 a.m., said Lt. Michael Lee, a Minnesota State Patrol spokesman. The crash involved at least one commercial vehicle and a passenger vehicle.
The investigation is underway and Lee said the State Patrol plans to release additional information later.
