St. Thomas men’s hoopsters fall at Omaha
The St. Thomas men’s basketball team trailed for the majority of its Thursday night game at Omaha on the way to an 89-78 loss in Summit League play.
The Tommies (15-6 overall, 5-1 Summit) were down 42-36 at halftime and were also outscored 47-42 by the Mavericks (12-9, 6-0 Summit) after the break to suffer their first loss in conference play this season.
Kendall Blue paced St. Thomas with 18 points and nine rebounds. Mikes Barnstable scored 14 points, with Ben Nau adding 11 points in a reserve role. Omaha’s Marquel Sutton led all scorers with 24 points.
The Tommies remain on the road for a matchup at Kansas City at 7 p.m. Saturday night.
