Celtics rule out two players vs. Kings in return to TD Garden
Two deep bench players will be unavailable for the Celtics on Friday night.
Boston ruled out two-way player Drew Peterson (concussion) and reserve forward Jordan Walsh (illness) for its matchup with the Sacramento Kings at TD Garden.
Walsh also missed Tuesday’s win over the Denver Nuggets, which closed out a four-game Western Conference road trip. He was listed as questionable entering Friday before being downgraded to out.
Peterson suffered his concussion with the Celtics’ G League team while the big club was on the road.
Walsh and Peterson both have seen sporadic action off the bench for Boston this season. Peterson’s playing time has dipped since mid-December; Walsh’s spiked before his illness sidelined him.
Every other Celtics player was off the injury report ahead of Friday’s game, including all five starters. Boston’s preferred starting five has played just 103 minutes together this season.
Starting guard Derrick White sat out Tuesday’s win in Denver due to illness but was cleared to return against Sacramento.
