Wednesday’s high school roundup/scores: Hingham captures Tenney Cup girls hockey title

Callie Crean scored late in the third period to help Hingham take down Notre Dame Academy of Hingham, 2-1, to win the coveted Tenney Cup girls hockey championship.

Izzy O’Brien led a balanced attack with a pair of goals as Archbishop Williams defeated Milton 7-1. … Avita Olitsky stopped 31 shots as Bishop Feehan blanked Sandwich, 2-0. … Ava Baker potted the game-winning goal with 3.5 seconds left to lift Malden Catholic over Duxbury, 2-1.

Sophia Luoni posted 26 saves in her second shutout of the season and Jordan DiGiandomenico potted two goals to fuel Natick in a 3-0 nonleague win over Algonquin. Maggie Connors had two assists in the win.

Boys hockey

Devin Gosciak’s goal late in the second period gave Xaverian a 1-0 nonleague win over St. Mary’s. … Jack Filipski scored in overtime for Reading, capping off a rally from down two goals to beat St. John’s Prep, 3-2. … Griffin Lochiatto scored his second goal of the day in overtime to deliver Scituate a 4-3 win over Norwell.

Jack Donovan scored twice, including the overtime tally to help Westford Academy out-last North Andover, 2-1.

Boys basketball

Jake Fortier scored 22 points and Donel Kabongo Mutombo added 13 as St. Mary’s (6-1) defeated Archbishop Williams 71-59 in the Catholic Central League.
