U.S. Bank Stadium to host Concacaf Gold Cup next summer

U.S. Bank Stadium was named one of 14 host venues for the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup, the confederation announced Wednesday.

This is the first time the Minneapolis venue will host the Gold Cup as Allianz Field in St. Paul has become a go-to stadium for U.S. national team games since its opening in 2019.

The continental tournament between men’s national teams in North America, Central America and the Caribbean will be held June 14-July 6. Match assignments for venues will come after the official draw on April 10.

The 13 other venues — all west of the Mississippi River — are a mix of MLS and NFL venues: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas; Q2 Stadium, Austin, Texas; NRG Stadium and Shell Energy Stadium, Houston, Texas; Dignity Health Sports Park, Carson, Calif.; SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, Calif.; Snapdragon Stadium, San Diego, Calif.; PayPal Park, San Jose, Calif; Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, Calif; Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas; State Farm Stadium, Phoenix; City Park, St. Louis; and BC Place, Vancouver, British Colombia.

Five of those venues are soccer-specific stadiums.

This will be the major tournament for new U.S. men’s national team coach Mauricio Pochettino going into the 2026 World Cup. The former Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Paris St. Germain coach took over the America squad this month.

Mexico, which won the 2023 Gold Cup, has a record nine men’s Gold Cup titles, followed by U.S. (seven) and Canada (one).
