Tessa Hunt and Georgia Wilson each scored twice as Hamilton-Wenham rolled over Cape Ann League opponent Ipswich 7-1.

In a Mayflower League game, Elizabeth Green finished with four goals, including the game winner to boost Blue Hills to a 6-5 win over Bristol-Plymouth.

Alexis Weiss posted a shutout and Milla Lee scored the game’s lone goal, lifting Dover-Sherborn over Westwood 1-0 in Tri-Valley League play. … Taylor Collins erupted for four goals as Norton routed Norwood, 8-0.

Maelyn Foley scored both goals for Hanover to beat North Quincy, 2-1, in a Patriot League tilt. … Hannah Lasch’s two goals and a goal and assist from Grace Maroney led Hingham to a 4-1 win over Whitman-Hanson. … Meg Carney scored her 10th and 11th goals of the year for Duxbury (7-0), pacing a 2-0 win against Plymouth North. … Caitlin Snow scored half her team’s goals with a hat trick, leading Silver Lake over Marshfield, 6-1.

FOOTBALL

The three-time Super Bowl winning Everett football team will be honored at its annual Homecoming Game on Friday, October 4 at 7 p.m. against Taunton at Veterans Memorial Stadium. At halftime, Everett will honor the Crimson Tide’s unforgettable 2001, 2002, and 2003 teams – powerhouses that compiled an overall record of 34-1 and won three consecutive Division 1 Super Bowl championships.

Those teams, which were coached by John DiBiaso, were led by the likes of Matthew and Frank Nuzzo, Darryl Doe, Gennaro Leo, Victor Ruiz, Andre Rutigliano, Dan Connors, Brian Schurko, Danny Sullivan, Theluxon Pierre, Eric Mazzeo, Adam Arsenault, Paul Arsenault, Joshua DelGaizo, Paolo Lambresa, Ross Pietrantonio and Tom Lam – to name just a select few from these three dominating teams

VOLLEYBALL

In the Dual County League, Chloe Heitman collected 24 kills as Acton-Boxboro defeated Lincoln-Sudbury 3-1.

Lila Paster had 14 kills with four aces and Yanielis Pizarro scored 18 kills, leading Swampscott over Beverly 3-2 in Northeastern Conference action.

With 15 assists from Lyla McDonough, 12 kills from Addyson Smock, 10 kills from sophomore Chelsea Wagner and 10 digs from Lindsey Solomon, Oliver Ames won a well-balanced, 3-0 Hockomock League match against Sharon.

Addie Olson shined in her first varsity start with 30 assists, while Alex Jose and Morgan Etna combined for 21 aces as Hamilton-Wenham rallied past Georgetown, 3-2, in Cape Ann League play.

Freshman Charlie Ballestas sounded off for 18 kills as Reading defeated Middlesex League opponent Woburn, 3-2.

Grace Calvagno’s 11 kills, three blocks and two aces paced Innovation Academy (1-7) within a 3-2 win against Mystic Valley in Commonwealth Athletic Conference action.

BASEBALL

Plymouth North coach Dwayne Follette was named the NHSBCA Region 1 Coach of the Year after leading his team to the Div. 2 state championship. Follette has coached at Plymouth North for the past 32 years and has an overall record of 468-202 with 18 Patriot League and state titles.
