Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, known by her stage name Lady Gaga addresses rumors of being a man in the second episode of What’s Next also includes Bill Gates in the guest section.

The bad romance singer, Lady Gaga, told Gates in his new series, “The reason I didn’t answer the question was because I didn’t feel like a victim with that lie. But I thought, what about a kid being accused of that, that would think that a public figure like me would feel shame.”

The pop star recalled quite a few times when she was accused of such claims and frequently questioned the press conferences about the pictures on the internet, and rumors stated that she was a man. 

In 2011, she told CNN, “Why the hell am I going to waste my time and give a press release about whether or not I have a penis? My fans don’t care and neither do I.”

“People assume […] that my performance is what’s not real. But to me, that’s the most real thing that you’ll see about me.”

Recalls Trying To Change the Narrative

He later acknowledged that Gates had the most pressing issues, and stated, “I’ve been in situations where fixing a rumor was not in the best interest of the well-being of other people.”

Lady Gaga, stating the long history of misinformation, said, “I tried to be thought-provoking and disruptive in another way. I tried to use the misinformation to create another disruptive point. Gaga reflected on her long history with misinformation. I’ve been used to lies being printed about me since I was 20 years old. I’m a performer. I think it’s kind of funny.”

The clip from the fans became a viral sensation on the internet, praising the singer’s approach to handling controversy, and honesty, saying, “And that’s why Gaga is MOTHERRRR. An epitome of elegance, honesty, stardom, and majesty. Truthfully, her level of eloquence, long-term strategy, empathy, and outright bravery is remarkable.”

A fourth user commented, “I love how intelligent, demure and mindful Lady Gaga is when she talks about defending LGBTQ+ rights & those stupid press interviews about her being a transgender to Bill Gates in his “What’s Next? The Future Netflix documentary.”,

The Lady Gaga Being “Man” Rumours

 Lady Gaga, a thirteen Grammy Award winner, attracted rumors in 2009 after her appearance at the Glastonbury festival, wherein some of the netizens noticed a bulge in her outfits. However, she often responded with sarcasm or indifference, further emphasizing that her fans are not concerned about her gender.

To push against the expectations, in one of the events, she embraced the drag king persona of Jo Calderone.
