A basement party with more than 50 people was busted early Monday morning, as police officers found three guns and arrested partygoers.

Cops responded to the loud Mattapan party in the area of 24 Rexford St., at around 4:35 a.m. on Monday. Police officers had responded to the location for previous incidents, and knew that the entrance to the party was through the backyard.

As the cops made their way to the basement door, they saw that it was padlocked from the outside — preventing the partygoers from leaving. The officers knocked on the door multiple times without an answer.

Meanwhile, the cops could hear smoke alarms blaring.

“Officers now fearing life-threatening conditions, made forced entry into a side door which was also padlocked,” police wrote. “Upon entrance into the basement, officers immediately observed over fifty people inside. Officers also observed a bar constructed that was fully stocked, multiple hookahs, and air conditioners operating without proper ventilation.”

As officers were speaking with partygoers, they began to smell gas. There were lit candles at the party. The cops told everyone to leave, and the Boston Fire Department responded.

As people left, cops reportedly saw a male suspect hiding behind a female, and trying to conceal his waistband. Officers conducted a pat frisk of the suspect, and found a large vape as well as three credit cards with different names.

A second suspect jumped off the porch and was stopped by officers. The suspect reportedly began to resist officers. The cops were able to safely place the suspect into handcuffs.

Officers during a protective sweep of the basement found three discarded guns. The firearms were a Ruger LC9 with an obliterated serial number with four rounds in the magazine, a Polymer 80 with one round in the chamber and 12 rounds in the magazine, and a Sig Sauer P238 with five rounds in the magazine.

Fitzgerald Custodio-Pimentel, 31, of Jamaica Plain, was placed under arrest and charged with disorderly conduct, trespassing, resisting arrest, and interfering with a police officer.

Jorge Vargas-Jimenez, 35, of Mattapan, was also placed under arrest and charged with three counts of receiving stolen property, disorderly conduct, trespassing, resisting arrest, and interfering with a police officer.
