Trump slams Harris, Biden on the beach ahead of VP’s NH stop today [+audio clips]

Donald Trump has gone on the offensive ahead of his rival’s campaign stop in New Hamshire this afternoon, clearly signaling the Granite State — with its four Electoral College votes — is in play.

Despite what others claim (yes, the Boston Globe), Trump isn’t taking NH for granted as VP Kamala Harris stops in the Portsmouth area.

“Well what can you say, she makes few appearances where she says anything. She reads off a script,” Trump told Howie Carr for his afternoon show today. (Clip below)

Trump pivoted to President Joe Biden, whom he was crushing in the polls before the pre-DNC swap, saying Biden’s optics on the beach are just horrible.

“If you’re president, you don’t want to be seen sleeping and you don’t want to be on the beach. … Somebody has him convinced this is a good look. I don’t think so,” Trump adds. (That clip next.)

Biden just returned to the White House after a two-week vacation in California and Delaware to face heat over six hostages — including Israeli American Hersh Goldberg-Polin — being found dead Saturday in a Hamas tunnel.

Even the usually-left New York Times hit Biden in this “tumultuous summer” for being “elusive” and seen in a beach chair by the shore.

Trump, who is in a dogfight for the 2024 election, didn’t hold back. It’s clear to anyone paying attention that he’s not conceding any ground, especially with next week’s Sept. 10 debate vs. Harris.

As for that Electoral College calculus, a candidate needs the vote of at least 270 electors — more than half of all electors — to win the presidential election.

The Herald is in NH today covering Harris and the fallout.
