Shots fired near the MIT Sailing Pavilion in Cambridge: Massachusetts State Police

A shooting was reported near the MIT Sailing Pavilion in Cambridge on Sunday evening, as police officers swarmed Memorial Drive.

A suspect was taken into custody, according to Massachusetts State Police.

“This evening at approx. 5:15 pm, we received reports of shots fired in the area of the MIT Sailing Pavilion on Memorial Drive in Cambridge,” Mass State Police posted.

“State and @CambridgePolice responded to the scene and have the suspect in custody,” MSP added. “There is no known public safety threat at this time.”
