Israel July 2024: Toyota up to 16% share, Chery, Mazda, Seat impress
Chery sales double year-on-year in July.
According to data by our local partner cartube.co.il, the Israeli new car market advances 7% year-on-year in July to 25,064 units, but the year-to-date volume remains in negative at -8.9% to 180,209. Toyota (+10.9%) confirms it is the new favourite of Israeli buyers with a stellar 16% share vs. 11.8% year-to-date and 11.7% for 2nd placed Kia (+2.8%). Hyundai (-48.1%) implodes at #3. The next four carmakers all beat the market easily with double-digit year-on-year lifts. Chery (+99.8%) is the most dynamic at #5, breaking its volume and share records at 1,704 and 6.8%. It however reached a higher #4 in March 2023. Mazda (+88.5%) and Seat (+85.7%) also stun while BYD (+37.4%) is a notch below but still very impressive.
