Trump agrees to debate Harris Sept. 4 on Fox News

Former President Donald Trump announced early Saturday he’s agreed to a pivotal debate with Vice President Kamala Harris on Fox News Sept. 4.

Trump posted on his TruthSocial stream that he’ll go up against Harris, the Democratic pick for president in 2024, on that Wednesday just after Labor Day.

“The Fox News debate will be held in the Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, at a site in an area to be determined,” he added. “The moderators of the debate will be Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum … with a FULL ARENA AUDIENCE.”

The rules will be the same as he agreed to with President Joe Biden, Trump adds.

Harris has been challenging Trump to a debate in every campaign appearance she’s made since Biden announced he’s not seeking reelection. Harris has secured enough delegates to the Aug. 19-22 Democratic National Convention in a virtual roll call, the DNC chair says.

Trump adds the debate will abide by the original ABC rules, including candidates with 15% of the vote in four polls can take the stage. That appears to once again cut out Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is fighting to get on election ballots around the country.

This is a developing story …
